Welcome to another week of Trivium Tuesdays!  For those of you who are new here today, this link-up is hosted by Living and Learning at Home (that's me!) and Classically Homeschooling and is aimed at encouraging and informing other homeschoolers who use the Classical model of teaching.  Here we can share with each other and learn from one another.

Your Morning Basket Giveaway

As promised, our month of giveaways is continuing!  Congratulation to last week's winners, Laura L. and Sharron C, who each won a French for Children bundle from Classical Academic Press.

While we all know the many benefits of morning time, getting it started can be difficult. That's why we're I'm thrilled to be able to offer Your Morning Basket as a giveaway today.

Pam Barnhill guides you through everything you need to set up a working morning time for your family including a no-fail habit to make morning time stick! With tips and tricks for dealing with wiggly children, you'll soon have a successful morning time to begin your homeschool day.

Featured Post from Last Week

I appreciated Lindsay's honesty last week when she shared about dropping out of her co-op.  As homeschool moms, we are constantly making difficult decisions about what is best for our children and our families as a whole.  I'm starting to think about plans for next year and it is a lot to think about!  Anyone else making any mid-year switches or planning on changes already for next year?

This Week's Link-Up

Here are the rules:
  • Your post must have to do (in some way) with classical homeschooling (any age children).
  • Your post may be from your archives as long as you only post it one time on this link-up.
  • Please link to your direct post, not your blog in general.
  • Please link back to this post in some way. You can use my Trivium Tuesdays button (found on my right sidebar) if you'd like so others can learn about this link-up! Button code: <ahref="http://www.livingandlearningathome.com/search/label/Trivium%20Tuesdays" target="_blank" title="Trivium Tuesdays"><img alt="Living and Learning at Home" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6y8pMMmK-PuaiwV-fmISajX_7Bd6HYHA-Y64a4HgIYpE7qH4_NGNb9i2qxBsRFEJTyVoF-_MQUjmItgwNxTr3KxC1OKNo-MnBEkxM89HSuSpsoGpYXfkg84eOhSCVnfxDbup3pbghuusI/s200/Trivium+Tuesdays+-+2016+Button.png"/></a>
  • It may be helpful to state in your link description what stage of the trivium or what subject your post is about, if applicable, so others can easily find posts they are interested in looking at.
  • Remember, everyone loves comments =) So don't be shy, and tell someone if you liked their post!

I reserve the right to remove any link-up that does not have to do with classical homeschooling.

If you are a regular here at Trivium Tuesdays and have something to share that is a little off topic, but still would be an encouragement to the readers here, please still share it =)  I'm referring to people who are just trying to get their blog more exposure without following the rules above.

  2. I've been doing Morning Time with my two littles, but inconsistently. One of my goals for the year is to get into a consistent routine before my eldest turns 5 in early 2017. Small steps will get me there and get us ready for a "real" routine before he starts first grade in '18! I'm really trying to not rush him, obviously.

    1. It sounds like you are on the right track! Morning time is a great way to start with little ones. You can meet them right where they are at and change little by little as they grow!

  3. We don't currently do morning time - we aren't "morning people" unfortunately. Trying to get there, though. :)

    1. You could certainly do 'afternoon time' or whatever works for your family =) Sometimes a gathering together in the middle of the day is a nice refocusing time as well!

  7. We don't do morning time right now, but my oldest starts kindergarten in the fall and I may be pregnant, so something like this needs to be in place by September if not before!

  8. We have been doing Morning Time with my Kindergartener and Preschooler and they love it! When we don't do it, they usually ask about when we will do it. I really enjoy Pam Barnhill's blog and tips!

  9. No, I don't do Morning Time with my children. I've tried several times, but I just can't seem to make it happen consistently. Thanks for your giveaway and your blog:)
