Don't Go It Alone - Contemplate Together - Scholé Everyday

Thanks for coming back to day two of our month of Scholé Everyday!   If you missed the first post which explains what's going on, take a minute to read it.  Remember, these are just going to be short posts with an idea to encourage you in the way of restful learning.

So how did it go this morning?  Did you start your day with classical music?  If not, no problem, tomorrow is another day!

Today my encouragement to you is to:

Contemplate Together

What I mean by that, is to not try to do this restful learning thing on your own!  We need each other, ladies!  I love the community we have build online here, but I hope you have a network of support in your day-to-day life as well.

Today I am challenging you to think of a friend who you think would enjoy this idea of scholé as well.  Maybe she is a fellow classical homeschooler who is already familiar with this idea.  Maybe this would be all new to her.  Maybe she is not a homeschool mom at all, but could still benefit from the idea of restful learning.

Call her up sometime today or tomorrow!  Explain to her what you are doing and that you would love for her to do it with you.  Also, set up at date for the end of the month where you can get together with her and enjoy time contemplating the true, the good, and the beautiful.  Maybe this will be a girls night, or maybe it will be a couples night, or maybe it will be with your whole family...you decide!

So, think of a friend, get on the phone, and start looking forward to a time of contemplating together! (Don't forget that you can be encouraging one another throughout the month as well =)

If you are purposing to incorporate scholé into your home this year, I'd love to hear from you!  Share with me what you are doing or how these ideas have impacted your homeschool and I can compile your stories in to a post.  I'd love to even have some guest bloggers if you'd like to write a whole post about how you are using scholé in your homeschool this year!  Contact me and let me know how you are doing!

  1. I am done homeschooling but now I feel like I need to help those coming behind me here in my "real life". I have done it for a long time online but inviting a homeschooling mom over to let her talk and then to give encouragement has proved to be a very happy and satisfying thing to do now that my kids are up and on to other things. Great post Amy.

    1. Barb, that is wonderful! So many times people like to shake the dust off their feet and move on once they are done with a stage in life, but we need to you be around for advice and encouragement! I'm so glad that you have purposed to be there for the homeschool moms near you. I am sure they are very grateful!
